This workshop is designed to teach new shooters how to safely handle and operate shotguns. The techniques used are transferable to all firearm safety. This workshop is open to anybody who wishes to learn how to safely shoot a shotgun.
Skills Training workshop is required for anyone signing up for the any of the September Family Pheasant Hunting workshops.
After a classroom safety talk, you will head out to the field to practice your hands on shotgun shooting and handling. Safety is stressed throughout and we will have coaches present to give you tips on how to improve your shot. Shotguns, ammunition and eye & ear protection are provided. If you bring your own shotgun make sure and bring your own ammunition to use. Lunch is not provided.
We are doing these shotgun skills workshops in order to make the pheasant hunting workshops a better experience for you, as well as the handlers and their dogs. The pheasant hunting will start earlier and be done before the heat of the day.
