Cost: FREE birds and safety gear available. Everyone in the field must wear orange hats, orange vests, and safety glasses – which are available at the event or bring your own. Youth must purchase a valid license and legal validations.

Maximum number of hunters is 75 in the field at any one time. Hunters check-in at 7:00 am at a check station located in the Nielson Road parking lot. Hunting hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. East and West Coyote and Fisher Butte units are open to hunting. Only federally approved nontoxic shot may be used.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is pleased to invite you on this youth upland game bird hunt. These hunts are designed to teach young hunters how to hunt safely and enjoy an introductory experience in the field hunting pheasants.
If you bring your own firearm, please provide the appropriate shells for your own gun.
You must have in your possession a valid Oregon Hunting License as well as Upland Game Bird validation in order to hunt pheasant. All youth 17 and younger must carry a hunter education certificate or a department issued document that states the Hunter Education certificate number.
Youth will not be allowed to hunt without the proof of Hunter Education. Each youth must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older (1 youth per 1 adult)
